Avis are playing really smoothly (x264 codec) Great app!

Video plays at 15 fps instead of 30. At least audio is in sync. Hard to grab slider to ffw or rw. Doesnt prevent iPad from going to sleep. Might as well get another device to play xvid movies.

I am an avid "acquirer" of videos off the web. If you are like me, and are downloading 720p mkvs and smaller size xvid avis, dont bother. This app isnt ready yet.

Seeking no longer works when streaming over http. Playback seems worse overall. Bookmarks wont save after restarting the App. Please fix seeking and you will get a good review and my recommendation. As of now, I recommend buying OPlayer instead.

Wow, cant believe this crapware got approved. Tried to play a simple divx and it was like watching a slideshow. Even the colors were off. So I hope an update comes quick or its delete time.

I bought this app as soon as I got the iPad. The thought of not having to convert all my movies was too tempting. But since day 1, playing movies is choppy at best. They have release a few updates including the latest one, but i still have issues with it. Its still choppy. Please do fix as I hate paying for something i do not use, and this falls into that category for the foreseeable future.

yxplayer was recommended to me by an Apple employee at the International Plaza Apple Store in Tampa. So far I havent found any instructions on how this app issupposed to work.

Cannot play any of my MKVs. Dont waste your time and money downloading it.

I was hoping I could use this app to watch .wmv files from email. No such luck... Devs please make this app worth the $4.99 youre asking for it.

People who are writing bad reviews show me something that works better! I use the player to play mp4 vids I download from a training site and watch em on my way to work. This app makes the iPad so much more complete! It works absolutely flawlessly. No performance issue, easy dragging files into the players library, easy removing. Simply perfect.

When yxplayer came out I had high hopes for a developer that would continue to support its product instead it stalled, while others have come out with better options eg VLC. And instead of fixing and improving yxplayer they come out with yxplayer2 ???!!! Get VLC and donate to open source better than paying for a stagnant product.

how about making this app universal? What is the differences between this app and the multiple other apps? Why not just have 1 to avoid confusion? Thanks for keep updating

Avi and mkv files are both jumpy and audio out of sync. It does not play them very well. I regret paying for this app.

Simply does not work. Will not pick up my dlna devices when my other apps will.

If you can get it to stream from a URL, youre magician. Never had an app crash on me or get stuck on screens before - but theres always a first. And this is the one.

Installed lite version and had immediate access to my media server. Works great so far. Bought full version to skip ads.

I was looking for a converter for .avi movies to store and play movies from a Seagate GoFlex Satellite to an iPad. One of the advertised converters mentioned the yxplayer app, but did not recommend or rate it very highly, but I went looking for it and took a chance. On some first time trial and error attempts I got it working and it is streaming .avi movies from the Seagate Satellite to my iPads just fine. I do need a good set of instructions on how to use yxplayer and I will continue looking.
